Should I choose public blockchain or private ?

Public blockchains are permission-less and no central authority to control, anyone can join the network and do the transactions. Where as in private blockchain its not the case, private blockchains are permissioned and controlled. Before we get into public or private blockchain selection, we need to define all the actors who are going to be part of blockchain network, based on nature of business and the actors involvement we have to choose public or private blockchain model.

If the nature of business is to accept the transactions from unknown actors across the globe and there is lack of trust due to anonymity then public blockchain is the one of the suitable options and if that is not the case and your business is with the known actors but there is lack of trust then go for private blockchain.
